Chuggington
Deep in the heart of children's imagination lies the land of Chuggington, where trains have come to life and everything runs on rails. The 'chuggers' in this magical world are all based on modern engines of every kind, from streamlined diesel locomotives and electric bullet trains to trolleys and old steam engines.
Three apprentice engines (called "trainees" of course!) are learning to ride the rails and perform essential tasks. Wilson, an eager (but slightly impetuous) red engine; Brewster, a loyal and rugged freight engine; and Koko, whose speed and derring-do sometimes get her into mischief.
The trainees have much to learn from their instructor, Dunbar, in the training yard of the Chuggington depot. When they finally master skills like carrying passengers smoothly or operating the loading doors of a quarry car, the trainees earn the chance to perform tasks outside the depot. Vee, the organized announcer with speakers all over Chuggington, reveals each chugger's mission on her dispatch board, including which of the four coloured tunnels to take into the vast Chuggington landscape beyond.
On their adventures, the trainees learn valuable lessons about helping friends, following instructions, keeping promises, and perhaps most of all, enjoying a sense of wonderment about the world. Every chugger has something to learn, and sometimes it's the older and more experienced ones who must learn from the youngsters!
Meet the trains

Brewster is a solid diesel-electric train built for heavy loads. He doesn't always understand his own strength, which can make him a bit awkward and clumsy. Whenever the trainees are given instructions, Wilson and Koko are always raring to go - but sensible Brewster usually asks lots of questions first. This can be frustrating for the others at times, but more often than not his eye for detail can come in very handy. Brewster is very dependable and can always be relied on in a crisis, he's a tower of strength. One of his catchphrases is "Honking horns!" |

Calley is Dunbar's feisty assistant. She is also a shunting engine, but is much smaller than Dunbar. Calley has her own set of service cars to perform her many different tasks. In the event of a fire, she has a fire service car with hoses to put out the flames. And if a chugger ever breaks down, then Calley is also the rescue chugger. She's like a big sister to the trainees. Her catchphrase is "absotootly!" |

Dunbar, the shunting engine, ensures that chuggers are hooked up with the right rolling stock. He has a strong work ethic and takes great pride in the role he plays in shaping the young trainees to be successful, hard working engines. He acts as a mentor/teacher to them. When the trainees get frustrated and want to give up, Dunbar encourages them to keep on trying. He is full of helpful tips and advice. His catchphrase is "Let’s get those wheels to the rails". |

Emery is a rapid transport train that zips all over town. Sometimes he goes underground, and other times he passes overhead on elevated tracks. He often shoots through the main depot on his way somewhere with a quick quip or joke. As he whizzes past, mischievous Emery will tell an unsuspecting chugger that their wheel is rolling off, they are leaking fuel or that they've forgotten their rolling stock, and with that he is gone. When he gets very excited, his front window flips up. He has two voices, a nasal 'announcer's' voice, and his normal voice. |

Smooth Harrison thinks he's the cat's whiskers! (And the vents on his face even make him look a bit like a cat). He lives in the upper level of the roundhouses, the penthouse suite, accessible by an elevated turntable. He is generally considered to be the fastest chugger in Chuggington and has had his name on the trophy for the Great Chugger Championship as long as he can remember. |

Irving handles the rubbish and recycling and has a recycling area off the main depot. He's an adult chugger with a perfectionist streak! |

Koko is a fearless, streamlined passenger engine built for high speed. Unlike Wilson and Brewster, Koko is completely electric and draws her power directly from the tracks beneath her. She'll often challenge others to a race, knowing full well that they don't stand much of a chance against her. Koko is very confident and loves to explore and have adventures. Her favourite catchphrases are "Traintastic!" and "Chugga chugga CHOO CHOO!" |
