Disney

Disney was founded on 16th October 1923. Disney is one of the top five brands names in the world, their founders. Mr Walter Elias Disney and his brother Roy Disney, they are one of the best-known film producers in the world.

Disney and his staff created a number of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse a character for which Disney himself was the original voice.

The first short silent film was produced in 1923 which featured a child actress interacting with aminated characters disney made a whole series of alice comedies and later led to an all-cartoon series starring his first original character Osward the lucky rabbit.

In 1928 walter came up with the first silent Mickey Mouse cartoon called "Plane Crazy". In mid-1923 the first Mickey Mouse cartoon called "Streamboat Willie" was produced with synchronised sound and was a big success. Disney received a special Academy Award ifor the creation of "Mickey Mouse", whose series was made into color in 1935 and soon launched spin-off series for supporting characters such as Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto; Pluto and Donald would immediately get their individual cartoons in 1937 and Goofy would get solo cartoons in 1939 as well.

Disney's Snow White and the seven Dwarfs pushed the boundaries of animation even further and was his first feature length film and premiered in 1934. Snow White was the first Disney princess of many, she ran away from her evil step mother because she was jealous of her appearance, to a cottage in the woods where seven dwarfs lived and they took care of her until one day her stepmother found her and gave her a poisoned apple which made her sleep until a prince woke her up with a kiss.

Disney isnt just about cartoon characters, they have made a number of films which appeal to all ages. With High School Musical and Hannah Montana being the big recent franchises.


High School Musical is a 2006 American television film, first in the High School Musical film franchise. Upon its release on January 20, 2006, it became the most successful movie that Disney Channel Original Movie ever produced, with a television sequel High School Musical 2 released in 2007 and the feature film High School Musical 3: Senior Year released to theaters in October 2008.

It is the first Disney Channel Original Movie to have a theatrical sequel. A fourth installment, High School Musical 4: East Meets West, has been announced to be in the writing stages and to premiere in Disney Channel in 2010. The film's soundtrack was the best-selling album in the United States for 2006. High School Musical was Disney Channel's most watched movie that year with 7.7 million viewers in its premiere broadcast in the US.

With a plot described by the author and numerous critics as a modern adaptation of Romeo & Juliet, High School Musical is a story about two high school juniors from rival cliques – Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens), a beautiful and shy transfer student who excels in math and science. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical, and as a result, divide the school. Despite other students' attempts to thwart their dreams, Troy and Gabriella resist peer pressure and rivalry, inspiring others along the way not to "stick to the status quo".



Hannah Montana is an American television series, which debuted on March 24, 2006 on Disney Channel. The series focuses on a girl who lives a double life as an average teenage school girl named Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus) by day and a famous pop singer named Hannah Montana by night, concealing her real identity from the public, other than her close friends and family.

The original idea for this show was based on the That's So Raven episode "Goin' Hollywood", which served as the backdoor pilot for a sitcom tentatively called Better Days to star Alyson Stoner, in which a child star of a popular TV show of the same name was to try her hand at going to a normal school. The episode "New Kid in School" has the basic premise as that aforementioned episode.

Former American Juniors finalist Jordan McCoy, future Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen and pop and R&B singer JoJo (who rejected the role) were considered for the role of Zoe Stewart. Miley Cyrus originally auditioned for the role of the "best friend" Lilly Romero, later changed to Lilly Truscott, but they thought she would be better for the main character, so she tried out for Zoe Stewart/Hannah Montana.

Zoe Stewart was later changed to Chloe Stewart, which was eventually changed to Miley when she got the part. The names of Hannah Montana were changed a few times. Three of the previous names were Anna Cabana, Samantha York, and Alexis Texas.
